• Development of research identity in underrepresented undergraduate sophomores, previously unexposed to laboratory research, by mentoring/supervising four undergraduate researchers through a semester-long introductory research experience

• Extension of semester-long NSF EFRI-REM program where research identity development is examined for students exposed to a 10-week research experience for undergraduates (REU) in both Bioengineering and Biology laboratory settings
